Abstract

The text recreates the philosophical and theoretical approaches on figuring out the right place for Literature inside the History and vice versa, from Moshe Ibn Ezra and Ibn Khaldun’s perspectives. This arguing frame is all the more relevant since both concepts are, both of them, literary and historical ones. Ultimately, the discourse is about spotting the right realm where the human truth lies in a certain period of time. To attain such an aim, Moshe Ibn Ezra assumes the poetry understanding of ‘truth’ and ‘fiction’; whereas Ibn Khaldun, from his meticulous and accurate analytic approach sets up an ultimate theory for the human culture.
