Abstract
A study of the bivalve mollusc fisheries: Chamelea gallina, Donax trunculus, Acanthocardia tuberculata, Tapes rhomboides, Glycymeris violacenscens, Callista chione , Venus verrucosa and Pecten maximus of the Spanish Mediterranean coasts of Málaga (Estepona, Marbella, Fuengirola, Málaga y Vélez Málaga) and Cádiz (La Línea de La Concepción) has been carried out. The boats and the type of trail used to capture each species have been studied, as well as the location of their natural banks. The evolution of catches for each species from 1985 to 2022 has been studies, as well as their minimum sizes and capture tare weights, and their closed seasons.
