Abstract
The purpose of this work is to delve deeper into the social and intellectual resistance carried out by the media, promoted mainly by Jewish communities and, to a lesser extent, by left-wing and Catholic movements based in exile between 1933 and 1945.
This article aims to shed light on the beginnings, evolution, and contribution of the magazine Aufbau, published in New York (USA) since 1934, as an instrument for denouncing the atrocities of Nazism and promoting social cohesion among the Jewish community, and to contextualize Aufbau's connection with US radio stations in the 1930s, especially New York stations such as WEVD.
